FAQ for H45 Quick Drive Parallel Port:

Q:  My Computer Freeze in DOS when running HDprep or it tell me the
      there are no device connected. What can I do ?
A:  Make Sure that your QuickDrive is connected to your computer.
A:  Do not connect any other Device to your quickdrive's through port.
A:  Make sure that the hard drive in the QuickDrive is jumper to Master.
A:  Make sure that your parallel port mode is setup correctly.

Q:  After running the HDprep utility in DOS,  it partition my hard drive into 12 or
     more logical drives.  What can I do?
A:  Repartition the Quickdrive using the HDprep utility in Windows.

Q:  Will the Quick drive Support FAT 32 ?
A:  The Quickdrive will only support FAT 32 partitions in Windows 95 osr2
      or Windows 98 only.  It will not work in DOS  or NT if the harddrive in
      the quickdrive  contain FAT 32 Partitions.
A:  You must load the driver Version 1.36 to support FAT 32 in Windows
      95 osr2  and Windows 98

Q:  After installing the Drivers Ver 1.36,  Fdisk only reconize the the Quickdrive
      As 8GB and not 13Gb.  What can I do?
A:  This means that your BIOS only support 8GB and you will  be limmited to Harddrives
      upto 8GB.

Q:  What Type of Harddrives will work with the Quickdrive ?
A:  Any standard EIDE or Ultra DMA 3 1/2" drives can be use with the
      Quickdrive.

Q:  What is the maximum Hard Drive capacity  the Quickdrive will support?
A:  The supply drivers version 1.31 and 5.42 will only support FAT16 and
      will support drives upto 8GB.  The largest Partition size is 2GB.  If you
      Have a 8GB drive, the Hdprep utility will partition the drive into
      4 partitions with 2GB on each partition.
A:  If you install the Ver 1.36 drivers for Windows 98 or 95 osr2,  the
      Quick drive may reconize upto 13GB.

Q:  Does the TSR drivers work in Windows 95/98 ?
A:  No, the TSR drivers will not work in Windows 95/98

Q:  What is the Quickest way to check if the Quickdrive is working or not.
A:  Restart your computer to the DOS Prompt.
     Insert the QuickDrive Installation disk Ver. 5.42 into the floppy drive.
     Type  H45hd.exe and press Enter.  Then type Aspihd.exe and press
     Enter.  You should now be able to access the QuickDrive In DOS.

Q:  What Parallel Port Mode will work with the Quick Drive?
A:  EPP (Enhance Parallel Port), Bi-directional, PS/2, Extended, Enhance,
      and some Standard Modes may work.

Q:  After upgrading to Windows 95/98 from DOS/Win 3.x, my Quick Drive
      does not work any more.  What can I do ?
A:  Edit your Config.sys file and  REM out the following lines
           Device=c:\h45hd\h45hd.sys
           Device=c:\h45hd\aspihd.sys
A:  Install the Drivers for Windows 95/98.

Q:  How do I get to the BIOS?
A:  On Most Laptops, Pressing the F1, F2, or F10 keys will allow you
      to go  into the BIOS Setup while the computer is booting.  This
      can only be done BEFORE your computer starts to load Windows
      or DOS.
A:  On Most Desktops computers, Pressing the Del key will allow you
      to go into the BIOS Setup while the computer is booting.  This
      can only be done BEFORE  your computer starts to load Windows
      or DOS.
A:  The BIOS can also be refer as the CMOS, or System SETUP.  If
      the above instructions do not work, refer to your Computer's
      manual or contact the manufacture of your computer for assistant.

Q:  My computer  freeze when I install the drivers in Windows 95/98.
      What can I do ?
A:  Install the Drivers without connecting the QuickDrive to your computer.
      At the end of the installation, select  " I will connect the Device Later"
      and click on NEXT and then Finish. you can also refer to the installation
      guite in the Tech Support page.
Q:  My Quickdrive work in DOS but does not work in Windows 95/98.
A:  Check if there are any Resource Conflicts.

Q:  When I click on the new drive Icon in My Computer, It tell me
      that the Quick Drive is not Accessible and the Device is not ready.
A:  Make sure that there is power to the quickdrive.  If not, you need to
     restart your  computer with the QuickDrive  turned on
