FAQ for H45 Quick Drive with PCMCIA Card:  

Q:  What drivers do I need for the QuickDrive PCMCIA Card if I want to
      use it with WIndows 95/98 ?
A:  Windows 95/98 already have the necessary drivers for the PCMCIA
     card so you do not need to have any specific installation disk.  You
     should follow the instructions to install the PCMCIA card on the Tech
     Support page.

Q:  Can I use Hdprep to partition the Quick Drive if I am using the
      PCMCIA Card ?
A:  You cannot Partition the QuickDrive with HDprep or FDISK if you
      are using the PCMCIA connection.

Q:  Will the PCMCIA Card support FAT 32 ?
A:  Yes, the PCMCIA Card support FAT 32 without any other additional
      drivers ?

Q:  How can I get the QuickDrive PCMCIA to work with Windows NT 4.0 ?
A:  The H45 QuickDrive PCMCIA Card will not work with any Windows NT
      operating systems.

Q:  When installing the QuickDrive PCMCIA driver for DOS/Windows 3.x,
      the software will not load ?
A:  You need card services for your computer before you can load the
      PCMCIA drivers for the QuickDrive in DOS/Win 3.x.  For more
      information about card services, you can follow the instructions on
      the Tech Support Page and  contact your computer manufacture.

Q:  Does the TSR drivers work in Windows 95/98 or DOS?
A:  No, the TSR drivers will not work with the PCMCIA card.

Q:  What Parallel Port Mode will work with the Quick Drive with the
      PCMCIA card?
A:  The PCMCIA connection doesn't use your parallel port so you do not
      need to modify your parallel port mode.

Q:  Windows 95/98 reconize the PCMCIA card in the PC Card menu in
      the Control Panel but there is no drive letter.  What can I do?
A:  Remove any other PCMCIA Card from your computer and insert only the
      QuickDrive PCMCIA card in your computer before starting Windows..
A:  Reinstall the Windows 95/98 drivers for the QuickDrive PCMCIA Card.

Q:  After installing the Windows 95/98 drivers, there is always a yellow
      exclamation mark on the PCIC or Compatable PCMCIA Controller
      in the Device Manager in the PCMCIA Socket section and the
      QuickDrive does not work.  What is the possible fix ?
A:  Reinstall the PCIC or Compatable Driver
A:  If you have any Cyris Logic drivers, or Texas Instrument Drivers in the
      PCMCIA Socket section in the Device manager, the QuickCd PCMCIA
      specify drivers (PCIC or Compatable PCMCIA Controller) will not be
      compatable.  The Cyris Logic and Texas Instrument Drivers will not work
      with our drivers but it may support our PCMCIA CARD without installing
      any additional drivers.
A:  If there are any Cyris Logic or Texas Instrument Drivers, you should
     remove them from the Device Manager and then restart your computer
     with the QuickDrive PCMCIA Connected. When you restart your computer,
     Windows should reload the deleted drivers and reinstall them.  You should
     Accept all of the default settings.  When Windows reinstall the Cyris Logic
     and or Texas Instruments Drivers, it will find the QuickDrive PCMCIA card
     and install it also.
 
Q:  After upgrading to Windows 98/95 from DOS/Win 3.x,  my QuickDrive
      does not work any more.  What can I do ?
A:  Edit your Config.sys file and  REM out the following lines
           Device=c:\quickcd\odclient.sys
           Device=c:\quickcd\shtlhd.sys
           Device=c:\quickcd\aspihdrm.sys
A:  Install or Reinstall the Drivers for Windows 95/98.
